A few announcements from the Society of Data Analytics Engineers at VSE/GMU (DAEN Society):

• DAEN Society is now an officially recognized Registered Student Organization (RSO) of George Mason University.  Our inaugural leadership team includes Darron Fuller (President/Founder), Alonso Thelam (Vice President), Melissa Quijada (Treasurer), and Naeem Khan (Secretary).  Two GMU faculty members have accepted appointments as advisors to DAEN Society:  Dr. Paulo Costa (Associate Professor of Systems Engineering and Operations Research) and Dr. Hemant Purohit (Asst. Professor of Information Sciences & Technology / Profile:  http://ist.gmu.edu/~hpurohit/).  We thank all of our members for their support over the past year that lead to this momentous event.  Elections for leadership positions will be held in Spring 2017.  An information session regarding the election process and establishing candidacy for a leadership position will be announced shortly.
