I-SEC students,

Please see the below Save-the-Dates from Dr. Hunzeker.

Please mark your calendars for two upcoming research presentations by Schar School graduate students:

  * On Friday, October 21st, John Glaser will be presenting "Withdrawing from Overseas Bases: Why a Forward-Deployed Military Posture is Unnecessary, Outdated, and Dangerous"
  * On Friday, November 11th, Erik Goepner will be presenting "Hurt People Hurt People: How Trauma Explains Civil War"
Both presentations will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm in Founders Hall, Room 602. I will send a reminder email and read ahead drafts of the papers a week or so before each talk. I am also working with the I-SEC graduate student group to organize an informal happy hour following one - or both - of the presentations.

Please feel free to pass this along to anyone who might be interested.

And many thanks to John and Erik for volunteering to present their work!

Best,

Mike
