IT Support and Forensics Analyst An exciting and unique full-time opportunity for an IT support engineer who has a broad background in solving IT issues and is eager to expand their career into the field of digital forensics with a small but well respected company. General responsibilities for this position include providing onsite IT help desk support for external clients, and introductory computer forensics work. Specifically, the successful candidate will spend approximately 60% of their time at various client sites around the DC metro area and remotely providing managed IT services (Level 1 through server administration). The remainder of their time will be spent contributing to computer/digital forensics projects. The forensics projects include assisting with real investigations by conducting analysis using various digital forensic tools and techniques. No prior forensics experience required as training will be provided to the successful candidate. Occasional domestic and possibly international travel may be involved. Government security clearance is not required but a private background check will be conducted. Ideal Candidate: The candidate must be an experienced self-starter and problem solver that can work well independently as well as within a team. The candidate should possess good knowledge and experience in networking, Windows desktop/server administration, MS Exchange, and Active Directory in a multi-server environment. Training will be provided in forensic technology and methodologies. The candidate should be prepared to work in varying environments including incident response, with occasional travel (10%-25%). Required: 1. Outgoing personality with good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact positively with clients. 2. 1-2 years of experience in IT support. 3. Hands-on experience working in an MS AD/Exchange environment 4. Good problem solving skills and ability to learn quickly 5. Good attention to detail 6. Follows established processes and procedures 7.
