INDUSTRY TIP
Highlight Your Capstone Project
This time of year you might be finishing up or thinking about your future senior design/capstone project. This is a major achievement that you should be proud of. Not only should you be proud of it, you should be highlighting it extensively
on your resume! Companies consistently provide feedback that one of the most valuable things engineering and technology students bring is their experience completing such a project. Think about it, you spent a semester or even an entire year working on a
large scale effort – what better corollary is there to what you will be doing on the job? Be sure to highlight your experience with this as thoroughly as possible, and remember to focus primarily on what YOUR action were, not just what the project was!
