Dr. Ying-Ying Kho is looking for one to two graduate students from your program who can help me (and my colleague) work on the research project. She has received a grant funding which will support us in hiring skillful graduate students so we can speed up the data analysis. Below is the description of the skills we are looking for and work they might get involved: * Skillful in R and SQL programs (required) * Experience in VBA and Java programs (preferred) Tasks are includes but might not be limited to: * Cleaning data extracted from the Blackboard server and/or collected from surveys * Recoding data in order to be ready for advanced data analysis * Establishing the database after the data schema is specified * Importing data (usages and surveys) to the database * Testing and verifying data The pay is planned between $20 - 25 per hour based on their skill and experience levels. The work months are between January to March or April (about 80 -100 hours in total) 2015. In order to make sure their skill levels we will test them during the interviewing process. If they can show some samples of R or SOL in their projects it will be wonderful. The work will start as soon as we report to the funding department and the GA will have to follow the criteria of the temp work at GMU.
