Hello all,

Welcome back from the long snowy break (assuming you can even get to campus today). We have the perfect antidote to snow-day-induced cabin fever: Larry Butler’s brown bag tomorrow. Please join us TOMORROW, Thursday January 28, at noon in the HIST/ARTH conference room, to talk about Islam in China with Larry Butler.

There is no reading assignment but if you would like to check out Larry’s work on the topic here is a link:  http://www.mei.edu/content/map/mosques-and-islamic-identities-china

Best,

Joan Bristol and Zach Schrag
