Mason Study Abroad Scholarships

Mason Study Abroad administers two scholarships bi-annually, open to George Mason University students:

Scholarship awards range from approximately $250 to $1,000 and vary based on the strength of the student’s application. The requirements differ for each scholarship, so check your eligibility before applying.

Both scholarships are need- and merit-based. Each applicant is carefully considered by Mason Study Abroad Scholarship Committee. The Committee looks for applicants who have a strong academic record, demonstrate financial need, and are passionate about study abroad and their program in particular. Applicants are encouraged to share special circumstances, personal stories, or any other connections that demonstrate why and how the student will benefit from their chosen program and the scholarship award.

Scholarship awards are designed to supplement a student’s funds during the program.

Awards cannot be applied directly to the program fee.
