Busan, South Korea



Beaches, seafood, and mountains galore describe the beautiful city of Busan, SouthKorea. Located in the southeastern tip of of the Korean peninsula and acting as South Korea’s largest port city, Busan has become an international metropolis. Known as one of the top tourist destinations in South Korea, Busan has a variety of activities for all types of visitors. If you love relaxing by the seashore, Haeundae Beach is the place for you. It is famous for its beautiful, clear water and fantastic location. Restaurants, hotels, and markets are all within walking distance of the beach. Enjoy Busan’s famous seafood at the Haeundae market or eat delicious Korean barbeque. The spring season is the perfect time to visit Haeundae because the weather is warm and it is much less crowded compared to the summertime. A sea of beach umbrellas stacked like sardines can be seen at Haeundae from miles away during the months of June, July, and August.

Gwangalli Beach is Busan’s other most famous beach, known for its fine sand and pristine water. The nearby area has a cultural center, a museum, art galleries, theaters for plays, and an array of fashion shops. Gwangalli’s artistic vibe attracts many visitors looking to learn more about the culture of Busan. Also located in the Gwangalli area is the Gwangan Bridge, stretching about 5 miles across the ocean. At night, the bridge lights up in colors that change according to the season. Gwangan Bridge is a popular and fun spot for a romantic date or a family outing.

Busan is home to the largest shopping complex in the world known as Shinsegae Centum City. Including a spa, an ice skating rink, a movie theater, and countless floors of shops, Shinsegae is a dream for visitors who love shopping! Traveling to this ginormous mall is easy as it sounds as it is conveniently attached to the Centum City subway stop.
