Alumni Association Scholarship Application
The George Mason University Alumni Association (GMUAA) proudly offers five student scholarships of $2,500/each for
students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Applications are currently available online, and the deadline to apply is Friday, January 8, 2016. No late submissions or recommendations/references will be accepted after this date.

students and transfer students who are currently enrolled and attending classes.

Looking for an Easy Way to Manage Your Citations?
Zotero is a free, easy-to-use tool that helps you collect, organize, cite, and share your research sources. Gateway
Library will offer Zotero workshops every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and every Thursday from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Free math tutoring!
The Mathematics Tutoring Center, located in the
Johnson Center room 344, offers free tutoring on a walk-in basis for all George Mason students enrolled in math courses up to MATH 290.

Fenwick Library on the Move
On November 16, University Libraries will start packing and moving more than one million books and journals, special
collections, archives, various equipment, and nearly 100 library staff into the new Fenwick Library. This enormous project affects all floors of the existing Fenwick Library. Once print books are moved into the new space, they will not be directly available
to users until the new facility opens in January 2016.
Library staff will retrieve needed print items during the move. Submit requests at
bit.ly/needthisitem.

1 Million Cups
Each week, the 1MC program offers a local entrepreneur an opportunity to present their small business challenge to
a diverse audience of mentors, advisors, and entrepreneurs. Learn more about 1 Million Cups at

We meet every Wednesday morning from 9:00am-10:00am. An entrepreneur gives a 5 minute presentation followed by 45 minutes of Q and A with the attendees. As a community, we always ask, "How

Off-Campus Finals Study Lounge

Location:
Fairfax Campus, Johnson Center, George's Restaurant Off-Campus
Students are given the opportunity of an entire lounge to themselves during finals week. Study, relax, and eat in this
24-hour space to increase your final grades. The lounge is in George’s Restaurant, located on the top floor of the JC.
