The event is open to all BIS students. All are invited to stop by to chat with BIS advising staff, instructors and
the director. We will have portable food, meaning snacks that you can take with you on the road or to your next class. We hope to see you there.

This program will provide transfer students with important information regarding Mason’s academic policies and resources.

Part-Time Job Fair

On-campus employers will be looking for student workers in various departments across campus. Local employers will
be recruiting for part-time jobs in the area which are accessible by public transportation. The list of participants will be available soon. Please remember to bring your GMU student ID.

Need to Brush Up on Good Study and Note Taking Skills?

Dates: September 8, 2015 from 10:30 am to 11:45 am (Fall Semster)
January 26, 2016 from 10:30 am to 11:45 am (Spring Semester)
Location: Fairfax Campus, Student Union Building I, CAPS Group Room A and B
Note taking is an essential study strategy. Notes supplement memory and can be used to create review guides prior to
exams. During this workshop, participants will learn strategies for listening, writing notes, and reviewing afterwards.

Last Day to Add/Drop Classes for Fall 2015 Semester

Students should verify their class schedules in Patriot Web to ensure they are registered for the appropriate courses. Students are responsible for attending all classes for which they are registered. Please keep in mind that if you choose not to attend a class
it will NOT be dropped, you must drop the course in Patriot Web.
***September 8th is the last day to drop classes WITHOUT tuition penalty***

High-5 Day
Any weekday that ends in a 5 are days set aside by Off-Campus Student Programs and Services to offer a day’s worth of programs and services specifically for off-campus students. Meet them in Lot A in the morning (7:30am-10:00am) and Lot K in the evening (2:30pm-5:00pm).
They have different programs scheduled for their Mid-Day events, which typically take place in the Johnson Center at noon. Stop by on a High-5 day and get a High-5 from one of your fellow Off-Campus Student Advisors, who would love to give you more information
about events and opportunities both on and off-campus.
