Discover Granada, overflowing with historical and architectural remnants of an illustrious past, a small city that provides an ideal setting for studying Spanish language and culture. Stroll the winding, cobble-stoned streets of the Albaycin; peek into Gypsy caves; wander the passageways of the Alhambra; or experience the flare of flamenco.

Universidad Carlos III de Madrid is your one and only stop on your way to studying in English, Spanish, or both in a Spanish-speaking country. While studying at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, you can take advantage of learning Spanish history, culture, or increase your Spanish language skills by speaking with the locals. You are not limited only to Spanish and culture classes either, you can take an array of courses that apply to the major or minor that you are seeking, while only paying George Mason tuition.

Get integrated in the culture by joining a dance class, eating delicious tapas, exploring the nightlife, or hanging out with your classmates in one of the numerous parks in Madrid. If you need a weekend out of the city, the capital is a central jump-off point to visit other historical cities or the beautiful countryside of Spain. CGE Scholarships

Apply by March 20, 2015

The Center for Global Education administers two scholarships bi-annually, open to George Mason University students: the CGE Global Perspectives Scholarship and the CGE Monroe “Chip” Whitton Scholarship.

All scholarship application materials must be received by CGE by 5:00PM on March 20, 2015. Upon receipt of all materials, applicants will receive a confirmation e-mail. It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure his or her application materials have been received. READ MORE

Combine your study abroad experience with an internship to gain twice the experience! Students work in their area of interest, learn about a new culture; travel; and, gain valuable professional development for their resume.

Intern abroad in Buenos Aires! Gain valuable international work experience in your academic field while exploring the diverse and historic Argentine capital Buenos Aires. Students will live in an Argentine home-stay and work during the week in a Spanish-speaking environment, providing a culturally and linguistically immersive experience. All majors are eligible to apply!
