The Department is looking for a Graduate Work Study student. Details are below:

 

The Graduate Outreach Student Assistant will join the Graduate Coordinator in establishing and maintaining a virtual presence for prospective, current and alumni students. They will hold office hours to give tours to prospective students and their families and to work on special projects. They will also help in researching alumni and creating a community of scholars. Student will be seated at the front of the department and expected to handle light receptionist work (greeting visitors, directing students, answering phones, etc.).

 

The student should have good academic standing and a solid knowledge of University resources and the Northern Virginia area. In-state students are preferred but not required.  One faculty reference should be provided. Ability to utilize social networking sites. Basic research skills. Knowledge and passion for George Mason University and graduate programs.

 

10 hours per week, $15.00/hr. Student must be federal work-study eligible.
