Dear Cindy,

Just a friendly reminder to students (and faculty!) that applications for fellowship support from the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History to do research at NYC collections will be due May 1, 2014:  http://www.gilderlehrman.org/programs-exhibitions/fellowships  Gilder Lehrman Institute offers short-term research fellowships to doctoral candidates, postdoctoral scholars, college and university faculty at every rank, and independent scholars working in American history. In 2014, up to ten fellowships of $3,000 each will be awarded to scholars to conduct research within the archival holdings of any institution in the five boroughs of New York City.  A sample list of locations can be found here, but the award is not limited to these collections:  http://www.gilderlehrman.org/programs-exhibitions/research-locations

All the best,

Kay
