Dear Students,

This email is to notify you that the ECE department is offering a new special topics course titled ECE 499/ECE 590 Humanoid Robotics course during Spring 2014 to be taught by our new faculty member, Dr. Dan Lofaro. The course is offered at the same time as ECE 450 (i.e. Tuesdays from 4:30-7:10 p.m.) The prerequisites for undergraduate students taking the course are CS 112 and ECE 331 and would count as a technical elective in the electrical engineering major as well as in the specialization area of Robotics and Embedded Systems for the computer engineering major.

 

Graduate students may also enroll in the course to gain knowledge in the field of robotics and fulfill 3 credits of the program requirements within their plan of study. Graduate students should send an email to Pelin Kurtay ([log in to unmask]) with their G number to request enrollment.

 

The course will be tailored to differently address the undergraduate and graduate students within the same classroom.

 

This is a new and exciting course in the simulation of robots with humanoid features and the class will meet in ENGR 3208. More details can be found in the following link:
