Arrive in Istanbul
The Crown Plaza Harbiye is located in the heart of Istanbul, and in proximity to shopping, theatres, and the neighborhood of Nisantasi. Breakfast everyday!

Day 2 / December 29 / Sunday
Explore the city for a full-day tour

Day 3 / December 30 / Monday
Beyoglu and Pera
Free day OR optional half- day tour (additional $35 per person).

Day 4 / December 31 / Tuesday
New Year's Eve Celebration!
Free day OR optional half- day tour (additional $100 per person).
Optional half-day tour, "Off the Beaten Track of Istanbul in the Old City."

Day 5 / January 1 / Wednesday
Happy New Year 2014!
Free day OR optional full- day tour with lunch in a local Turkish restaurant included ($100 per person).

Optional full-day tour includes visits of

Last day to explore Istanbul

This program is open to the entire Mason community including students, alumni, faculty, and staff and to the general public so please invite your friends and family!

Register online and submit the $500 non-refundable deposit with your application by October 25, 2013 to secure your spot on the program. First come, first serve. The program has a limited number of spaces available. The CGE office can take VISA or MasterCard payments for deposits only. Balance will be due by check (payable to George Mason University) by November 15, 2013.

Budapest in Spring

Spaces still remain for the Spring 2014Budapest Semester Internship<>! Spend your Spring 2014 semester on the banks of the Danube river in beautiful and historic Budapest, Hungary<>. Participants earn 15 credits over the semester while interning 3 days per week and taking classes two days per week. Gain professional experience while exploring central Europe! Classroom-based and experiential learning credits in GLOA, GOVT, CONF, NCLC, SOCI, WMST, HIST and more are available for participants. A sample of the potential internship placements include: Hungarian Civil Liberties Union, American Chamber of Commerce, Republikon Institute, Hungarian Europe Society, Roma Education Fund, and many more.
