Title: Lesson Planning for 21st Century Multilingual College Students

Description: In this interactive workshop, attendees will complete a learning-centered lesson plan for their individual courses. With the realization that many universities, including George Mason, have goals to increase international student enrollments, the presenter will provide a research-based rationale for creating effective lesson plans that appeal to 21st century multilingual learners. Attendees will receive a lesson plan template, tips for writing learning-centered objectives, and a list of research-based resources for future reference.
Session Outcomes: Attendees will be able to develop a learning-centered lesson plan for their individual courses.

 This includes:
- Writing measurable objectives for 21st century multilingual learners 
- Sharing ideas for learning-centered activities that can be used with a wide-variety of class sizes and disciplines.
- Brainstorming a list of assessments that can quickly measure student learning (related to the lesson plan objectives)
