Dear Masters Students,
If you will be finishing up your degree requirements in the fall 2013 term, please apply for graduation using Patriot Web.
Information may be found on http://registrar.gmu.edu/students/graduation/ If you have filed for graduation in a previous semester, you'll need to withdraw that application and re-file for the new term.
Deadline to file for fall 2013 graduation is September 30.
Please Note: It is best to go ahead and file for graduation if there is a chance you might finish up and graduate in the fall term. You can always withdraw it at a later date if you will not finish in time. There
is no penalty to file and then withdraw the application. There is a penalty to file a late graduation application!
Thesis students will contact the thesis & dissertation coordinator at Fenwick Library for a format review (http://thesis.gmu.edu/) This is a required step for graduation. Send them your draft early, do not wait until
you have a final version. Set up your thesis defense date with your committee members now - again, do not wait since faculty schedules fill up quickly.
The last date to hold a thesis defense for fall graduation will be Friday, November 29.
Project students need to complete the oral and written comprehensive exams before the degree conferral date of December 6, and turn in their project report to their committee.
thank you,
