Dear MASON
LIVE e-mail student user:
Starting on August 4, 2013, Microsoft will upgrade your MASON
LIVE account. Your e-mail address will not change as a result of this upgrade. A brief list of changes associated with the completed email upgrade is provided below.
1) The process to change your MASON
LIVE password will be different. New instructions for changing your MASON
LIVE password will be posted at
masonlive.gmu.edu by the completion of the upgrade.
2) The new Outlook Web Application (OWA) does not provide links to commonly used websites at Mason. In addition, the OWA is branded with Microsoft’s Office 365 logo, not Mason branding.
3) For those of you who use SkyDrive, this storage service is now separate from your MASON
LIVE account and is maintained by Microsoft. To access SkyDrive, use your MASON
LIVE Microsoft Credentials (your Microsoft Personal Password) and your

Before August 4, 2013: Please make sure you know the account credentials associated your SkyDrive account in advance of the upgrade so you are not locked out of this service. Information about acquiring or resetting your Microsoft Personal Password can
be found at:

ITU will send an e-mail message to all students once the upgrade is complete.
PLEASE NOTE: The ITU Support Center cannot assist with MASON
LIVE account issues or password changes for mobile devices or mail clients (Outlook, Thunderbird, pulling mail into Gmail, etc.) until the upgrade process is complete. The email upgrade can
