Position Summary:
Independent production company seeks military historian for review of program materials for a national museum. Looking for a credentialed historian (PhD preferred but would accept MA with commensurate experience) for immediate freelance
position reviewing museum program content for historical accuracy. The position would primarily be concerned with reviewing materials that have already been written and developed but there is potential that the chosen candidate could generate articles or program
content pending future development of the project. Therefore the successful applicant should have excellent written communication and research skills; proven experience in historical research and review, preferably in military history; have access to a computer,
internet and phone; be available for immediate hire; and have good references to support candidacy. Preference will be given to candidates who have a broad background in United States Army History, as subject matter ranges widely from the Revolutionary War
to current conflicts, as well as addressing specific Army personnel, technological and medical innovations.
The position is freelance and is telecommute. Our office is based in California but historians throughout the United States are encouraged to apply.
