We have been alerted to a scholarship-funded 3 -week opportunity in Turkey June 2-23, 2013.


This is a specially designed opportunity for Mason and NVCC students, under the auspices of  the sister city initiative between Turgut Ozal University, Fairfax County, and Keçiören Municipality.

The scholarship covers Summer school tuition, accommodations, meals, and culture guides.

Students will be responsible for the cost of visa (approximately $26) and the airfare (approximately $1200).

Students will be able to learn about post-Soviet changes in Eurasia through a Global Affairs course and to explore Turkish art through courses on Turkish art: http://www.myyisp.org/courses-2/turkish-art-courses/.

Turgut Ozal University provides 100% scholarship for Introduction to Global Affairs (POLS 319) and Kecioren Municipality provides 100% scholarship for Turkish Art Courses.
