A new initiative to foster a vibrant technology ecosystem in the Greater Washington Metro Region.

The Launch party is just the beginning . . . . .

The Ballston Innovation Initiative (BI2) is a three-month initiative hosted between April and June 2013, intended to foster a vibrant technology ecosystem that combines entrepreneurs, university researchers and students, government program managers and the supporting business community.

The goal is to create awareness around the requirements that government agencies have and provide exposure to security products and approaches created by non-traditional sources and the entrepreneurs who launch and grow those companies.

Other programs included in this initiative include a business boot camp program, national security deal day, and FounderCorps University classes. BI2 will also be announcing events with national security programmers and topics throughout the 3-month program. More details may be found by visiting the web site or by reviewing the press release. You may also follow updates via Twitter using hashtag #bi2 and by following @ballstoni2.

Participants who attend the April 18th event will receive a promo code good for 10% off of the Bootcamp, National Security Deal Day, or a FounderCorps University class!

The Launch Event will be held April 18th from 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm at Mason’s Founders Hall. Attendance is free - please register here.
