Subject: Fellowships for Americanists to work in NYC Collections

Dear Cindy,

I wanted to bring the following upcoming deadline to the attention of both doctoral students and faculty in History.

***************************

GILDER LEHRMAN FELLOWSHIPS - Application Deadline May 1, 2013

The Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History offers fellowships for doctoral students and faculty at every rank to do research in collections in New York City:  http://www.gilderlehrman.org/programs-exhibitions/fellowships

Up to 10 fellowships of $3,000 each will be awarded in 2013.  Fellows may conduct research within the archival holdings of any institution located in the five boroughs of New York City including, but not limited to, the locations listed on Gilder Lehrman Institute's web site:  http://www.gilderlehrman.org/programs-exhibitions/research-locations.

The deadline is May 1, with notification by early June, meaning that the funds could potentially be used to support research this coming summer.

For more information about the application process contact the Director of Graduate Fellowships, Dr. Kay Agoston, at [log in to unmask].
