How Smart are you?   Can you qualify for Mensa, the HIQH society?
Sponsored by the Office of the Provost

Special Opportunity to take the Mensa Admission Test, Wednesday, February 20th, 6-8 PM in Mason Hall, D5; you must be on time.

The Mensa Admission Test takes two hours to complete and includes two tests featuring questions involving logic and deductive reasoning. If you score at or above the 98th percentile on either of the two tests, you'll qualify and be invited to join Mensa.

Please note that American Mensa cannot test individuals younger than 14 years of age on the test date; however, these prospective members may submit evidence of prior testing to qualify.  Note that individuals can only take a test or test battery once unless American Mensa's Supervisory Psychologist provides an allowance for circumstantial reasons.
Individuals who have taken a test or test battery and did not meet the requirement to join are encouraged to take another battery or submit evidence of prior testing.

It is important to note that our tests are given for the purpose of admission into Mensa and not to quantify intelligence. A qualifying score indicates that you've tested at, or better than, 98 percent of the general population.

Taking the test costs $40.  To speed the process and avoid delays on test day, please pay online in advance and bring your voucher.   We want to get everyone registered quickly so the test can begin on time.  The link to do that is:  Also, bring a government-issued, photo ID, and at least two number 2 pencils.

You must contact BOTH these people by Tuesday, February 19th, (one email will suffice) to register for this test:

Jared Levine,  [log in to unmask]
-and- Bob Pugh, [log in to unmask]

Additional test dates are March 13 and April 24 with registration deadlines of the day before.
