Welcome to the start of another semester at Mason… and this wintry
I am writing to you today to invite you to apply to a wonderful new
opportunity in Oxford the Oxford
Academic Year Experience. Why should you consider this
opportunity? The Oxford Academic Year experience allows you to fully
immerse yourself at Oxford as a visiting student. You will live “in
college” and undertake tutorials just like a degree seeking
student! Mason undergraduates participating in this program apply
to one of three colleges. Come to the application and program
information session Friday January 25, 2013 at 1 pm in the Gold Room
in Johnson Center. The Gold Room is located in the bottom floor of
Johnson Center. Please read the information on the website carefully
and come to the information session with your questions!
Applications for this program will be due February 8.
An academic year just too long to be away? Look into the
semester long Oxford
Honors Program. Although not fully integrated into the Oxford
College system students in the Oxford Honors program undertake the
traditional tutorial experience. Administered in conjunction with
the Oxford Programme for Undergraduate Study, participants have an
academic advisor and access to social, cultural and athletic
activities through an affiliation with an Oxford College. Next
application information session will be held January 29, 3:00 pm in
Johnson Center room 234. An information session with Program Alumni
will be held February 6, 2013 - 6:30 pm Johnson Center Meeting Room
B. This is a great opportunity to hear from your peers who have just
come back from their Oxford experience!
If you are intellectually curious these programs are for you.
See you soon at one of these information sessions!
