Graduate Student Lounge, Johnson Center 3rd Floor, Fairfax Campus*

Learn more about fellowships and scholarships for overseas research,
language study, and professional development at the graduate level. The
session will cover well-known opportunities such as Fulbright, Boren
Fellowships, and Critical Languages Scholarships, as well as awards for
overseas dissertation research (including Fulbright-Hays, SSRC IDRF,

development fellowships (including Bosch, Alfa, EMDAP, and more.) We
will also discuss strategies for finding smaller, targeted awards to
support short-term travel or language study.

This workshop is free and open to all GMU graduate students, including
incoming students.

The first hour of the session will focus on awards open to both master's
and doctoral students. The second hour will focus on dissertation
research and post-doctoral fellowships. Participants may choose to
attend only one part of the presentation according to their interests.
