Good afternoon, Center for Global Education (CGE) listserv members and those of you who still need to earn additional credits for your minor in business.

Here are four in particular we thought you would find especially appealing.

A great way for those minoring in business to fulfill MSOM305 credit, this program begins with four weeks of Chinese language study for six credits followed by two weeks of business study for three credits in Beijing, where students will explore the intersection of management, finance, and culture in China with site visits to numerous Chinese and multi-national organizations. Dr. Yan Ling, Associate Professor in George Mason University’s School of Management, will lead the business portion of the study program in China. She is excited to return to her native China, where she received her undergraduate degree from Central University of Finance & Economics.

Introduction to Music in Assisi, Italy NEW Join Professor Mark Bergman at the Assisi Music festival. Free admission to all festival events and unprecedented access to the performers.
Italian Language Study in Rome, Florence and Elba NEW Join professor Abigail Pare for four or six weeks in Italy learning (or improving) your Italian language. Fulfill your nine credit foreign language requirement in just six weeks! Open to beginners.

Environmental Restoration and Sustainable Development in Senegal NEW Led by professor Kwame Boakye-Agyei from Mason’s Environmental Science and Public Policy department, this program’s participants will engage in grassroots community development in Senegal’s Ecovillage system by integrating principals of sustainability with cultural, economical, social, and environmental planning. Together, the student and faculty on this program create a learning community where remarkable educational environments facilitate real transformative intellectual and personal development.

To those of you who leave this Friday for the CGE spring break 2012 programs to Greece and Germany: have fun and take some great photos for us!
