University Day Celebrations
On University Day, faculty and staff with 5, 10, 15 or more years of service are recognized with a University Service Award. This year we are celebrating University Day on April 9th and 10th. On April 9th, or Green Day, those reaching a service milestone of 5, 10 and 15 years, will be invited to a luncheon in Dewberry Hall, 12-1:30pm. On April 10th, or Gold Day, those reaching a service milestone of 20, 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years, will be invited to a breakfast at the Mason Inn, 9-10:30am.
All recipients will be receiving an email invitation. If you are unsure about whether or not you are a service award recipient or if you just need to verify your information, please visit http://universityday.gmu.edu. Supervisors are also invited to join in the festivities. Questions? Please call Reward & Recognition at 3.2739 or email [log in to unmask].
Reminder: Interest Meeting for Working Dads

America Saves Week - February 19-26
Encourage your faculty and staff to pause and assess their savings plans. Saving for a college education (yours or a loved ones), car or home purchase, retirement, or that special trip or purchase can be made easier with a plan. America Saves week is coordinated by America Saves and the America Savings Education Council; it's an annual opportunity for Mason to promote saving and a chance for individuals to assess their own saving status. Virginia specific information can be found at Virginia Saves.
Additionally, Mason has on-site resources to assist you. America Saves Week is a great chance to gather the information and resources you need to set your savings goals.
Mason also offers ways for you to keep more of what you earn:
Health & Flex Open Enrollment Dates Announced
The Department of Human Resource Management (DHRM) has announced that open enrollment for health benefits and flexible reimbursement accounts will be held from Monday, April 16 through Monday, May 14, 2012. As details are available they will be posted on the HR & Payroll homepage and in eFiles.
HR Liaison Meeting Reminder
Registration is available (click on the Courses tab) for the upcoming HR Liaison meeting scheduled for Wednesday, February 22 from 2:00-4:00. Videoconferenced to Arlington and Prince William. We hope to see you there!
Please share excerpts of Instant HR/Payrolls with your faculty and staff as appropriate.
We rely on you to help us "get out the word". Thanks!
