Good afternoon from the Center for Global Education (CGE). We will accept online applications for the University of Oxford's international summer school until one week from today. Space is limited. Interested students may choose one of two program tracks: English literature or History, Politics and Society. 

Open to both undergraduate and graduate students, the English literature program consists of a daily lecture program given by leading scholars and distinguished speakers, complimented by a study in small seminar groups with specialist tutors. Undergraduate English literature students take two mandatory courses, Critical Reading and Shakespeare on Stage and Screen. Graduate applicants may choose two seminars from:
Chaucer: Sacred and Profane
Recent Trends in Shakespeare on Stage and Screen
The English Romantic Poets
Jane Austen
Victorian Fiction
Contemporary British Fiction

Undergraduate and graduate students may choose two seminars from:
British Politics, 1900-1945
The Changing Face of Britain
The Contemporary Middle East
The European Union in Perspective
Human Rights: Principles and Practice in the Contemporary World
International Development: Challenges in a Changing Climate
Political Economy in a Globalised World
Post-Communist Europe: The Former Soviet Union and Eastern Europe since 1989
Warfare in the Modern World
A range of optional excursions and social events will also be offered throughout the program. These are likely to include: a walking tour of Oxford, after-dinner talks, and weekend excursions to sites of historical interest.
