Good morning, CGE listserv members. The Center for Global Education (CGE) warmly welcomes Mason students back to campus and hopes your new year is off to a great start.

Today, a representative from the center will be available in the Johnson Center atrium from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to field your questions about study abroad. Her name is Claire and she recently studied literature abroad at the University of Oxford. Please stop by and say hello and bring a few questions for her! If you are on the Prince William campus today, look for senior program officer Denise Elles-Mdahuar who is there for the PWC Mason Nation Information Fair.

This week's kiosk themes are:

Kiosk A: International Internship placements (today)
Kiosk B: Latin American programs (tomorrow)
Kiosk B: UK and Ireland programs (Thurs)

A complete schedule of upcoming CGE events, information sessions and kiosks is here: http://globaled.gmu.edu/calendar

As you consider what kind of study abroad experience best suits you, please remember semester programs offer the best opportunities for sustained cultural immersion:
Spring 2013 Semester in Florence (courses taught in English; also open to non-Mason students)
Sciences-Po in Paris NEW (only open to Mason students; courses available in English)

Last but not least, several upcoming summer programs have early deadlines, so the time to apply online is now:

Apply by Friday, February 17: International internship placements in Buenos Aires
International internship placements in Curitiba NEW

We look forward to seeing you in your classes next week as we begin to visit classrooms on the Fairfax campus.

Sincerely,
