BINF 739.002/CSI 739.001 - CUDA Enabled Scientific Programming
Mondays 4:30-7:10
Room 327 Occoquan Building
Prince WIlliam Campus
Graphics processing cards (GPUs) have been developed to perform numerical calculations extremely rapidly. The ability to capture this computing power has been facilitated by the creation of the CUDA programming language and its variants. The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the GPUs architecture and CUDA language so that they can apply this technology to solve their high performance computing needs. Students will be provide access to computers equipped with state-of-the-art high-end CUDA enable GPUs.
A synchronous distance learning option where student can participate in class over the interned can be made available if there is sufficient interest.
