CALIFORNIA SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY POLICY FELLOWSHIPS

The California Science and Technology Policy Fellowships Program places 
scientists, social/political scientists, and engineers in the California 
State Legislature for one-year appointments.  These professional 
development opportunities will enable fellows to work hand-on with 
policy makers to develop solutions to complex scientific and technical 
issues through their interaction with the legislative process.

Applicants should have an interest in working at the intersection of 
science, technology, and public policy in the State of California.  
However, this is a nationally competitive fellowship and is NOT limited 
to California residents/students.

Eligible disciplines include:  Anthropology, Biological Sciences, 
Chemistry, Physics and Physical Sciences, Sociology, Psychology, 
Geography, Political Science, Education, Environmental Sciences, Health 
Sciences, Computational Sciences, Space Sciences, Earth/Ocean Sciences, 
Agricultural Sciences, and Systems Sciences.

Students must have a Ph.D. in hand by September 1, 2012, OR and M.S. in 
Engineering plus three years of post-degree professional experience.

This fellowship is open to all U.S. citizens, and to non-citizens who 
meet certain visa and residency requirements.  See the web site for details.
