A few reminders for October:

Be sure to take advantage of Mason's English Language Institute (ELI) 
and the Writing Center at the PW campus. Both have resources for 
graduate students, especially international students, and are free to

Tutors are available in the Mercer Library Monday 10:30 am - 2:30 pm, 
Wednesday 2:30 pm - 7:30 pm, and Thursday 11:30 am - 3:30 pm.  Visit the

The English Language Institute (ELI) is now offering free tutoring and 
workshops for non-native speakers of English at the Prince William 
campus. Students, faculty, staff, visiting scholars, and researchers are 
all welcome. Students can stop by the ELI office (Occoquan 202) on 
Mondays from 4:00 - 5:00 pm or Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:00 pm to work 
one on one with an ESL tutor. The website is  For

Monday October 10 is Columbus Day holiday. The university will be closed 
on Monday. Your normally scheduled Monday classes/labs meet on Tuesday 
October 11. Tuesday scheduled classes do not meet that week.

The deadline to turn in "Incomplete" (IN) work to the instructor from 
spring or summer term is Friday, October 28.  You must make arrangements 
with the professor if you have an "Incomplete" (IN) grade and can not 
turn in the work by Oct.28.  *Please note:* this deadline does not apply 
to "In Progress" (IP) grades.
