Volunteers Needed to Help Welcome New Incoming Freshmen to Mason
The Office of Housing and Residence Life is looking for faculty and staff from across campus to help welcome new incoming students at Freshmen Move-In on Thursday, August 25th.  Volunteers will direct students to their move-in areas and parking, answer questions at information booths, and, for those looking for a workout, help move-in student belongings.

Shifts are available on Thursday, August 25th to help new incoming students and on Saturday, August 27th when returning residents move in.

With supervisor approval, participating in move-in days for up to 2 hours can be considered work time as long as the faculty/staff person is on a regularly scheduled work day.  This is true for both Thursday and Saturday.   If either day is not a regularly scheduled work day, then faculty/staff will be volunteering their time.

Please contact Kara Danner at [log in to unmask] or 3.8910 with questions or to volunteer.

Hold the Date: 3rd Annual Happy Heart Walk

Get in the Spirit!  Mason Celebrates College Colors Day!
College Colors Day is nationally organized by Mason's partner, The Collegiate Licensing Company, and was first celebrated in 2005.  It always fall on the Friday before Labor Day.  College Colors Day seeks to celebrate and promote the spirit that makes college traditions great such as “back-to-school” by encouraging students, faculty/staff, and alumni to wear apparel of their favorite college throughout the day of Friday, September 2.  It will also kick-off Spirit Fridays at Mason where every Friday Mason students, alumni, faculty/staff wear Mason gear to show their Patriot Pride!  This is a chance for you to show your school spirit by wearing your college colors at work, school or to play.

All are invited to gather at the George Mason Statue on September 2 at noon for a group photograph to produce our first We Are Mason postcard. Show the world your spirit and pride. Wear green and gold and be a part of College Colors Day!  Additional information coming soon on events at Arlington and Prince William.
