Fixed (I hope).  It was a bug in SparseGrid2D that hadn't gotten  
recently changed along with Continuous2D and other portrayals.  Also  
fixed a bug where simple portrayals weren't passing mouse event on to  
their children -- that's why MovablePortrayal2D was only working when  
it was on the top of the simple portrayal chain.
