Dear Master's students,
Just a reminder that Dr. Ancha Baranova and Dr. Aybike Birerdinc are
offering a 2-credit lab course in the fall 2011 term that will
substitute for the "molecular lab techniques" requirement or for BIOL
718 in the MS Biology program. It is BIOL 691, "Cell-Based Assays".
Please email [log in to unmask] for permission to register for this course.

Also, Dr. Dmitri Klimov is offering a Bioinformatics course that will
substitute for the BIOL 580/BINF 630 requirement for molecular
concentration in the MS Biology program. It is also BIOL 691, "Molecular
Modeling for Biology", 3 credits. Dr. Klimov notes that a
bioinformatics background is _not_ needed for this course.

If you are looking for a seminar course this fall term, Dr. Jeff Solka's
BIOS 704/BINF 704 "Colloquium in Bioinformatics" will work for this
requirement. A bioinformatics background is not required for this
seminar series.

If you would like to see a course syllabus for any of the courses please
email the professor listed in the Schedule of Classes on Patriot Web --
click on the envelope icon beside the professor's name.

thank you,
Diane St. Germain
