The Middle East Etc. Film Club (MEtc.) will be holding elections for officers for the 2011-2012 academic year. MEtc. is an organization dedicated to promoting deeper, critical, and comparative understanding of the Middle East and underrepresented populations by publicly screening and analyzing films from both the Middle East and around the world, by tapping into new forms of media, and by making our own audio-visual and creative productions. MEtc. is dedicated to the principles of social justice and pays specific attention to issues that are marginalized in mainstream media, academia, pop culture, and government(s).
