I am an art consultant who has put together a very large corporate
collection of materials focusing on the early construction of the US Capitol
and its denizens throughout the century. There are many, many cartoons,
portraits and engravings which illustrate the political concerns of 19th
century America. Each must have a wall label. We have written some but
now realize that someone fluent in history who has "facts at his/her
fingertips" would be a more appropriate person.
If you could distribute this job posting to your graduate students and
perhaps especially notify the ones whom you think particularly apt, I would
be very grateful.
