This winter break travel to Vietnam to complete your gen-ed literature requirements! 

Join CGE in Vietnam this January  and earn 3 credits in English 202 (a gen. ed. lit. requirement),
English 360, Global Affairs 480, or New Century 399.  All students, their families, and members of
the Mason Community are welcome to join the program:

Led by Vietnam-American War veteran, novelist and professor Wayne Karlin, the 2-week study
tour will take participants to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon), Hue, Hoi An, DMZ, and Ha Noi as they
travel through many of the physical, historical, and cultural landscapes that produced Vietnam War
era literature. Students will also meet with Vietnamese writers, scholars and veterans, offering an
experiential understanding of the Vietnam war from both American and Vietnamese perspectives.
