I have two openings for recent graduates with degrees in Statistics.

I am building a team at Federal Student Aid to build modeling and forecasti=
ng capabilities for our $650B portfolio of student loans. I will be postin=
g two positions for entry level Statisticians in late September. I would r=
eview qualified candidate resumes immediately.

The ideal candidate must have

* 24 hours or more of Statistics credit

* Skilled in: coding is SAS, SQL (pull data), Visual Basic, Unix

The individual would be part of a team, pulling from FSA's vast amount of d=
ata to help build predicative models to measure our portfolio performance a=
nd improve our repayment processes.

Related work experience or graduate degrees would be a plus, but not requir=
ed. These positions are ideal for recent undergrad or master degree gradua=
tes who are interested in valuable practical experience before pursuing a g=
raduate degree/PHD or for those who wish to begin a public service career. =
These are permanent GS positions. Because they will handle personal info=
rmation, security clearance will be required. Pay will be determined based=
on related experience, skills and grade point average.

The hires will be exposed to and work directly with world class modelers wi=
th 5-10 years of experience in financial modeling.

FSA's office is located near Union Station in Washington DC.
