In case you did not see this new policy:
Process Change for Tuition and Fee Payments for Fall 2009

Beginning with the payment of tuition, fees, room, and board for the Fall 2009 semester, Mason’s Cash Office will accept only cash, checks and online electronic check payments. This new policy also is being implemented by other colleges and universities in Virginia and across the country.

To accommodate students wishing to pay tuition and fees by credit card, Mason has contracted with a third party vendor, TouchNet, who will accept American Express, MasterCard and Discover online through the Bill
and Payment System. A 2.75 percent convenience fee will be assessed by TouchNet for such credit card payments. VISA card is not currently participating in this program. It is estimated that this new policy will
result in an annual savings to Mason of $1.5 million.

Note this policy change impacts only tuition and fee payments beginning with the Fall 2009 semester. This does not affect Department Cash Receipts, Parking or Mason Money. Questions about this new policy
can be sent to the Student Accounts Office at [log in to unmask].

Academic Year 2009-2010 has a new fee applied to all tuition, Educational Resource Fee. This fee will not be covered by tuition remission (via tuition waiver or tuition grant). The  student is solely responsible for paying this fee of either $60 or $100 (depending upon credit hours per semester) per semester. The college will not be able to waive a late fee for non payment of the Educational Resource Fee.

Tuition rates for AY 09-10 are found at (second page is per credit hour rates):

Please let your students know that they will have to pay this fee.
