Dear Psychology student and potential Greece Program Participant:

The Center for Global Education invites you to spend 2 weeks this summer while earning
3 undergraduate credits in PSYCH 461. Even though PSYCH 461 is an upper level
course, the only prerequisite is PSYCH 100.

This unique program on multicultural perspectives in health psychology is led by George
Mason faculty director Dr. Anastasia Kitsantas and offered in partnership with the Hellenic
Institute of Psychology and Health in Thessaloniki, Greece. The program is in its tenth
consecutive year!

This summer's group will explore components that make up multidimensional definitions of
health psychology as they compare various psychosocial and behavioral theories in a multi-
cultural setting. Cultural differences in lifestyle, customs, perceptions of illness, and the use
of health services will also be considered. Below is a photo of last year's group:

                
 
Oops! I almost forgot to mention *the 4 day cruise that concludes this program.*
The cruise ship will make a stop in Santorini, where you can marvel at a sunset while
sipping Greek coffee and also in Rhodes, where you can climb to the top of the ancient
Acropolis of Lindos for a beautiful view of the Aegean Sea!

Please note that 3 graduate credits in EDUC 598 may also be earned while on this program.
In the past, graduating senior PSYCH students have taken the course for graduate credit.
