Dear Geography or Science Students,
I hope your semester is off to a great start.
As many of you already know, it is not easy to find programs in which Science credits may be
earned abroad. However, the Center for Global Education is currently accepting applications
for 4 such programs:
SARDINIA: The Geography of the Mediterranean Basin
Led by Dr. Germana Manca of the Geography and Geoinformation Science Department, this pro-
gram will offer credit in Geography, Environmental Science and Policy, History, and Anthropology.

ICELAND: Geology, Natural History, and Renewable Energy
Led by Dr. Rick Diecchio, this program will offer credit in Geology, Geography, Environmental

CHINA: China Today Through Its Environment
Led by Professor Haiying Lin, this program will offer credit in Geography, Environmental Science
and Policy, History, Foreign Language study, and Anthropology. Click the program's title for more

PHILIPPINES: Grassroots Peacebuilding, Environmental Issues & Culture
Led by Al Fuertes from Mason's New Century College, this program will offer credit in Geography,
New Century Learning, Conflict Analysis or Global Affairs. Click the program's title for information.
Remember, scholarships are available and financial aid applies to these programs. Plan now
so you can submit an application in your spare time during spring break. We will accept
online applications for these great opportunities until the March 27, 2009 application deadline.
