Very simple (silly? broad!?) question but what is the best way to set up MASON and GeoMASON to get the GeoMASON example models to run?
Andrew crooks linked to the code and data files from his blog post: https://www.gisagents.org/2018/07/mason-update.html
The code is here: https://github.com/eclab/mason/tree/master/contrib/geomason/sim/app/geo
And the extra data files are here: https://cs.gmu.edu/~eclab/projects/mason/extensions/geomason/geodemodata.zip
I have downloaded the code and the data and set it all up in Eclipse and some of the older models (colorWorld, Gridlock etc) run, but the newer models (Hotspots, cityMigration, ebola etc) have too many dependencies that are not included to run. Hotspots requires some of Sarah Wise’s other code (Communicator agent etc - found them on her GitHub but it still doesn’t run), some require jars that are taking a while to find, and some have data paths that need to be updated to point to where the resources are but still do not run.
Does anyone have advice on how best to structure my MASON setup in Eclipse (current structure below) and is there a better way we can distribute these models so that they're easier for people to set up and work with? I like to think it would help people work with MASON.
Any help would be great as I was quite excited to play around with the Migration, Refugee and Ebola models given my NGO/ABM research focus. That and these models have been an excellent resource to help me build my PhD model – which I'm still slogging away at!
