Unfortunately I read your email a little too late. I am very interested in joining you guys to finish building the robots. So you guys meet every Friday at noon?

Subject: GMU Flockbots Swarm Robots Assembly Update
This message is going out to: former CS 485 students, current Autonomous Robotics Club members, assorted Robot Lab members, current CS 687 students [who might be interested], some GMU faculty [to keep 'em in the loop], and a few interested hangers-on.
TL;DR: come tomorow to the robot lab at NOON for an organization session on assembling a swarm of 30 robots. If you can't but still want to be involved, lemme know and we can work something out. Also join the GMU Robot Club email list to be kept abreast (see end of message).
Feel free to forward this message to anyone interested.
As many but not all of you know, we are in the process of acquiring the parts necessary to assemble about 21 or so brand new "FlockBot" swarm robots developed at GMU, and to update the 9 that undergraduates built back in 2006. Web page of the original FlockBots:
Our goal was to build them over the winter break, but our inability to source certain parts stymied our plans. But we're still going ahead with it! In order to assemble these suckers, we'll need a lot of volunteer help. BY YOU. On the upside, you get a chance to build an army of robots from nothing, and that's not an opportunity you get very often. Also looks good on resumes. Plus maybe pizza.
We have or will soon (in a few days) have everything to assemble the robots, except for one or two parts which may take a few months to procure or build. :-( So we have decided to do this assembly piecemeal rather than in one big building session.
Tomorrow I'm going to hijack the Robotics Club meeting at NOON to hold an informal introduction to the FlockBot architecture, assembly, and programming; and get students working on certain assembly parts. This is a last-minute announcement I know, and if you can't come but dearly want to be involved, send me mail and we can talk later.
All discussion and coordination regarding the assembly will be done via the ROBOTICS CLUB EMAIL LIST (subscribe here: https://listserv.gmu.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=robotics-club-l&A=1 ). Join this list to be kept abreast.
Please come to the meeting and PLEASE GET INVOLVED! We need help building these sucker.
