The email that came this morning with a subject of "Helpdesk" is a phishing attempt. You can read more about phishing emails and how to detect them at:

http://www.securingthehuman.org/newsletters/ouch/issues/OUCH-201512_en.pdf

When the Mason ITS people get reports of phishing attempts that got past our filters, they post a warning on the IT Services site at:

http://itservices.gmu.edu/alerts/

As always, please contact me if you have any questions. And please contact our support staff at [log in to unmask] if you are concerned that your
machine may have been compromised.

Jonathan
