I'm trying to use MASON in Eclipse on Mac OS X 10.10 Yosemite and I am struggling to get everything to work.

Can anyone guide me through installing MASON, Java (JDK, JRE, 3D etc.) on a Mac and getting setup correctly?

I have tried to follow the instructions on the MASON site, as well as the links suggested there, and myself and some others in my department who are very familiar with MASON have tried all day but to no avail.

Everyone I speak to has a slightly different setup that they got to by trial and error over a long time.

There are several conflicting and limited guides that assume a lot of prior knowledge. Could someone provide a simple guide with details of what is actually required and how to get MASON up and running.
