Dear faculty & staff,

As many of you already know, Jade Perez has accepted the position as 
Director of Graduate Admissions for the university in its new 
centralized graduate admissions office.  She has been a great asset to 
our school, and we will all miss her.

The centralization of graduate admissions, along with the implementation 
of software for processing graduate applications, will have a major 
impact on the Volgenau School's graduate admissions office.  Although we 
have some information about the changes that will be necessary, there 
are many aspects of the reorganization that have not been settled.  For 
these reasons I do not want to implement permanent changes to this 
office until autumn, but it will be important to ensure that we are able 
to continue to handle applications to our programs during this 
transition period.

I am appointing Suddaf Ismail as interim director of graduate 
admissions.  Suddaf has extensive experience in our office, and I am 
confident that she will ensure the smooth operations of our graduate 
admissions office.  She, along with the other graduate admissions staff, 
are talented and dedicated.  I am proud of their efforts on behalf of 
the School.
