Dear faculty/grad students,
Interested in interviewing middle and high school students competing in a KidWind wind turbine competitions at the Center for the Arts next Thursday April 9th?
I'm coordinating a HUGE STEM outreach event - 1000, participants, and we have more wind turbine projects being evaluated than previously anticipated.
We are desperate and there are now 19 teams registered. It's very ease to judge and all materials are available before the competition. http://challenge.kidwind.org/events
We are partnered with JMU Center for WInd Energy who will also be here.
We need judges in these time slots:
Middle School1: 10:15a-1:00p plus time to convene with the other MS judging team to determine the top 3 teams within both divisions Middle School2: 10:15am-12:45pm plus time to convent – assume 30 min High School – 12:30pm-2:00pm
Judges will be assessing knowledge of turbine blade design -- nothing too hard. Any time you or any other faculty/grad students could donate would be greatly appreciated.
