Subject: Discussion of Race and Politics (The New Black) at 7pm on 11/11, Mason Hall D003

A Dialogue on Race and Politics, inspired by the documentary The New Black

The event is part of this semester's ongoing public discussion series, sponsored by the School for Conflict Analysis and Resolution (S-CAR).
Monday 7-9pm in Mason Hall room D003 A&B.
This event is free and open to the public.

This session will follow up on the 11/7 screening of the film, The New Black (2013), sponsored by the Film & Media Studies Visiting Filmmakers Series.
The film tells the story of how the African American community is grappling with the gay rights issue in light of the recent gay marriage movement and the fight over civil rights. Everyone is invited, even if you have not seen the film.

Sponsors: S-CAR's Dialogue and Difference, University Life, Office of Diversity, Inclusion and Multicultural Education (ODIME), African and African American Studies (AAAS) , Counseling and Development, and Film & Media Studies.
