N2K: PROVEN SOFTWARE FOR DATA SELF-PROTECTION AND FINE-GRAINED ACCESS
CONTROL

Gerald (Jerry) D. Kimmel
InfoAssure, Inc

Implementing Need2Know (N2K) into an enterprise IT environment
transforms the data into self-protecting data objects. Data access
policy enforcement occurs at the data object itself when a trusted
user either creates or requests access to it. By creating
self-protected data objects, N2K enables a more efficient and secure
data access control and protection process for discovery, access, and
sharing of time-sensitive data, independent of traditional
network-centric infrastructures.
